Australia currently has the financial capacity to purchase nuclear-powered submarines.\u00a0By this\u00a0way through\u00a0their allies the US manage to increase their fleet without burdening their federal budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The question is why France that is a producer of modern nuclear powered submarines did not agree from the outset in 2016 with Australia to build nuclear-powered submarines\u00a0and they chosen\u00a0to produce submarines with conventional propulsion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is it\u00a0because France and the EU in general does not want to spoil their relations with China? The United States has shown through the formation of the\u00a0AUKUS\u00a0Alliance\u00a0and its generous know-how to Australia that it will do what it’s needed to stop the expansionist China.\u00a0It is proven that the\u00a0EU\u00a0has no conflicting interests with China as the US has with China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If France had proposed the construction of\u00a0nuclear-powered\u00a0submarines in Australia from the beginning then it would be today a joint member of the AUKUS alliance and not outside,\u00a0but this would destroy the relationships of China\u00a0with France-Germany and of course\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0European\u00a0Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second question that arises is if the US has chosen to expand its nuclear\u00a0fleet\u00a0through its Allies, what will\u00a0the US\u00a0“rivals” do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In other words there will be countries such as Turkey, Pakistan,\u00a0North Korea, Iran, Brazil,\u00a0Vietnam, India,\u00a0and Algeria, as requested by countries such as Russia and China\u00a0and France to buy from them nuclear-powered submarines and ballistic missiles.\u00a0What if nuclear-powered submarines are acquired by countries that systematically violate human rights?\u00a0Will the\u00a0AUKUS\u00a0alliance\u00a0stop them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Essentially, the most choice\u00a0–\u00a0which in our opinion is correct\u00a0–\u00a0of US\u00a0to\u00a0make one of their ally a new nuclear power\u00a0– Australia\u00a0–\u00a0actually creates a new arms market that\u00a0sell\u00a0under surface vessels with\u00a0nuclear powered and ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
