But these agreements may increase the chances of armed conflict.

Within this framework, at the heart of the Chinese Agreements is the uninterrupted guarantee of the energy supply of the Chinese economy. Given this «core-strategy», China turned to Iran to become the main energy supplier to the Chinese economy.

by Thanos S. Chonthrogiannis

©The law of intellectual property is prohibited in any way unlawful use/appropriation of this article, with heavy civil and criminal penalties for the infringer.

The cooperation agreement of twenty-five-year duration on China’s energy supply from Iran was recently announced, although the negotiations lasted about five years.

Under this agreement, China ensures that its annual oil needs are met by 75% from Iranian imports and at competitive prices. For its part, China will invest $400bn in the entire infrastructure of the Iranian economy over twenty-five years (ports, airports, telecommunications, road-rail, defence industry, etc.).

Through this agreement, Iran finds the necessary way out of tough U.S. economic sanctions, effectively canceling whatever effects they had to force Iran to enter into its denuclearization agreement. China and through the franchise method will develop main weapons systems in Iran to equip the Iranian Armed Forces.

So given Iran’s impasse, Iran was forced to “sell out” to China. The agreement Iran signed with China shows other agreements signed with China by a few Asian and African countries.

Through these agreements, China manages to introduce into these countries a similar ‘Colonial’ policy of the 19th century European Powers.

China’s Strategy

China already has military-naval bases in Sri Lanka (Habdota-Southeast Africa) and Pakistan (Gwadar). These bases ensure the security of China’s maritime foreign trade from the South China Sea to the Suez Canal.

China’s naval base in Gwadar-Pakistan

The fact that China will also acquire a naval base at an Iranian port in the Persian Gulf, near the entrance to the Straits of Hormuz, is of great strategic importance. The next military-naval base in Syria presupposes the reconstruction of Syria, which neither Syria nor Russia has required funds.

Only China and the rich Arab (Sunni) countries of the Persian Gulf have these funds. So, as we try to complete this strategy, China’s agreement with Iran opens to the Chinese the prospect of exploiting the ancient land trade routes that start in Tehran, continue in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, countries that Iran currently controls.

Russia is certainly extremely uncomfortable with China’s ever-growing power and does not want China in Syria. But Joe Biden’s aggressive policy toward the Russian president compels Russia to seek China’s cooperation in the Middle East.

At the same time, China has sold the UAV Wing Loong II (HOO) and Dongfeng (DF-3A) ballistic missiles to the United Arabic Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia equally.

This allows China to further build relations with these two Middle Eastern countries by intervening when it needs diplomatically in the local conflicts of the Persian Gulf to safeguard its interests.

Saudi Arabia unveils part of strategic missile force Photo by the website www.defense-update.com

How US President Joe Biden’s Strategy Is Cancelled

The geopolitical implications for the US and Israel in the Middle East and Central Asia are serious.

Syria’s efforts to repay its debt to Iran to drive out the Iraqis (see analysis titled “Syria-Israel Contacts to get Iran’s Influence out of Syria“) leads Syria to open relations with Israel and The Islamic Arab countries to borrow these funds.

The goal of the US and Israel should be to find those required funds (through their allies in the Middle East) and lend Syria to repay its debt to Iran. Otherwise, Iran could sell Syria’s debt to China and China could make a matte move on the geopolitical chessboard.

The prospect of building a gas and electricity pipeline along the rail network connecting Iran and China via Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are now being reinforced. The alternative route of the natural gas pipeline is Iran-Pakistan-China.

If that perspective exists, how easy it is for NATO and the US to withdraw from Afghanistan. They can offer them their own alternative weapons systems for the non-purchase of S-400s.

In addition, India’s extermination from the Quad will force Japan and Australia not to put their policy towards India under US approval. In this case, Turkey will fully blackmail the West until it reaches a break with them.

The passage of time works against the interests of the US and Israel in the Middle East. Time is running out for China’s defensive and armament strengthening of Iran, so that it will get to the point where an Israeli attack on Iran will become unprofitable because then China will engage against Israel.

The moral casing of US President Joe Biden’s strategy of respecting human rights and the rule of law (see analysis titled “America First’s Doctrine of Joe Biden“) will delay Saudi Arabia’s political and social modernization.

China’s agreement with Iran will remove the possibility that Iran will re-enter the denuclearization agreement, and since China will use it as leverage for trade in both the China-U.S. trade war and the Middle East.

The resentment of the Gulf’s Sunni countries could turn them towards Russia and China. It is exceedingly difficult for Qatar to restore relations with the other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries that are US allies.

The two fronts opened simultaneously by Joe Biden’s strategy with Russia, China and preparing to open a third front with the EU, raise concerns about the US’s success rate and the fact that it is introducing China as a potential player on the geopolitical chessboard of the Middle East.

The fact that US President Joe Biden’s strategy intends to isolate China while affecting China’s security interests forces China to adopt other types of…

[836,3,834,826
161,2525,153,1290,1040,2175,58,2524,2511,88,2236
post-4509","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-asia-geopolitical","category-geopolitical","category-middle-east-geopolitical","category-usa-geopolitical","tag-china","tag-gwadar","tag-israel","tag-joe-biden","tag-middle-east","tag-quad","tag-russia","tag-s-400","tag-strategy","tag-syria","tag-u-s
["GET
