Exhibition<\/em>: Titus Kaphar-From a Tropical Space<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Gagosian<\/strong> gallery<\/strong> in New York is pleased to present From a Tropical Space,<\/em> an exhibition of new paintings by Titus Kaphar. This is Kaphar\u2019s first exhibition with the gallery and inaugurates his representation. A painter, sculptor, filmmaker, and installation artist, Kaphar reexamines American history by deconstructing existing representations and styles through his own formal innovations. His practice seeks to dislodge history from its status as \u201cpast\u201d to understand its continuing impact on the present. While much of Kaphar\u2019s work begins with an exhaustive study of pre-twentieth-century master painting techniques, From a Tropical Space<\/em> sees him wield these various methods to create an emotionally saturated visual landscape that is entirely contemporary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n October 1 \u2013 December 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n NEW JERSEY (USA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The New Art Museum of Princeton University<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Construction of the new building, which will house Princeton University’s Museum of Art, will begin in early 2021, upgrading the University’s capacity to present its collections. The new building is the work of the famous British man, originally from Ghana, an architect Sir David Adjaye. Adjaye Associates with Cooper Robertson offices design the New Princeton University Art Museum. The new Princeton museum is expected to open in late 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n HAGUE (NETHERLANDS-EU)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Exhibition<\/em>: Alone with Vermeer \u2013 \u201cThe most beautiful painting in the world\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The renowned French novelist Marcel Proust visited the Mauritshuis<\/strong> in 1902 and was deeply impressed by Vermeer\u2019s masterpiece. Many years later he wrote in a letter: \u2018From the moment that I saw View of Delft<\/em> in the museum in The Hague, I knew that I had seen the most beautiful painting in the world\u2019. Mauritshuis Museum<\/strong> presents the exhibition which consists solely of the View of Delft<\/em>. Alone with Vermeer.
