This is Kaphar\u2019s first exhibition with the gallery and inaugurates his representation. A painter, sculptor, filmmaker, and installation artist, Kaphar reexamines American history by deconstructing existing representations and styles through his own formal innovations. His practice seeks to dislodge history from its status as \u201cpast\u201d to understand its continuing impact on the present.&nbsp;While much of Kaphar\u2019s work begins with an exhaustive study of pre-twentieth-century master painting techniques,&nbsp;<em>From a Tropical Space<\/em>&nbsp;sees him wield these various methods to create an emotionally saturated visual landscape that is entirely contemporary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">October 1 \u2013 December 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NEW JERSEY (USA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>The New Art Museum of Princeton University<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3165\"\/><figcaption><strong>The New Princeton Art Museum <\/strong><br>Photo by the website www.archdaily.com <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction of the new building, which will house Princeton University&#8217;s Museum of Art, will begin in early 2021, upgrading the University&#8217;s capacity to present its collections. The new building is the work of the famous British man, originally from Ghana, an architect Sir David Adjaye. Adjaye Associates with Cooper Robertson offices design the New Princeton University Art Museum. Many years later he wrote in a letter: \u2018From the moment that I saw&nbsp;<em>View of Delft<\/em>&nbsp;in the museum in The Hague, I knew that I had seen the most beautiful painting in the world\u2019. <strong>Mauritshuis Museum<\/strong> presents the exhibition which consists solely of the&nbsp;<em>View of Delft<\/em>. Alone with Vermeer.
