A spokesperson for the German Ministry of Economy and Energy stated that any resumption of the pipeline’s operations requires the approval of the German government, which appears reluctant to consent. Furthermore, Germany has already identified alternative solutions for its energy supply. The difficulties associated with both the sale of the company controlling the Nord Stream pipeline to an American investor and the resumption of Russian natural gas supplies are also linked to the company’s current shareholding structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gazprom holds a 51% stake, while an additional 31% belongs to two German companies. The remaining shares are distributed between a French and a Dutch company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The issue is expected to be discussed at the Russia-US-Germany business forum, an event announced by Kirill Dmitriev.
