While Russia might have relinquished Donbas, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia had the West (primarily the US) not undermined the Minsk I and II agreements (2014/2015) and had a peace deal been successfully concluded in the spring of 2022, such an agreement is no longer realistic under current circumstances; Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson have been part of the Russian Federation since September 2022. For the time being, it remains unclear how far the Russian military advance will extend.

The situation in Ukraine is catastrophic; there are thousands of videos showing young men being hunted down like animals in the streets to be forcibly conscripted. Videos have also recently surfaced showing some of those forcibly conscripted being transported to the front line without uniforms—and even in handcuffs, like criminals—to prevent them from escaping.

We leave it to the readers to consider the combat effectiveness of these men against battle-hardened Russian soldiers. The Ukrainian military leadership’s latest move is the forced conscription of women. Given this situation, it comes as no surprise that the Ukrainians are losing thirty times as many soldiers at the front compared to Russia. It must be emphasized that Western citizens are kept in the dark about all this; mainstream media outlets remain completely silent.

Ukrainian volunteers—who later vanished without a trace—reportedly used drones and artificial intelligence to count the number of soldiers’ graves across Ukraine. They counted 2,000,054 graves. When one adds to this figure the dead buried by their own people in mass graves, as well as the wounded, Ukrainian casualties appear to be truly astronomical. However, President Zelensky claims that only 50,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed.

The steady development of Russia’s political economy requires reliable security for its western borders

It appears that Russia will—albeit slowly but steadily—achieve its necessary military objectives. Yet, this does not resolve Russia’s geopolitical problem regarding its western borders, as the goal is not new territory but peace with the West—an objective Russia has literally striven for over centuries without ever managing to attain. Regarding Ukraine, this goal cannot be achieved unless Great Britain agrees. Time and again, Russia has been attacked by the West and has consistently paid a heavy price in blood, money, and industrial capacity—resources diverted to military spending rather than civilian purposes. Consequently, Russia’s social development has repeatedly suffered setbacks.

Thus, if Russia wishes to keep pace with the major powers in terms of its political economy in a sustainable manner, reliably securing its western borders is an absolute prerequisite. Although Russia is the only industrialized nation in the world that is self-sufficient—and thus capable of waging a war lasting decades—such a confrontation would massively hinder the country from achieving its true development goals.

Ukraine’s attempt to drag NATO into the war

In a desperate move, Ukraine is attempting to officially draw NATO into this military conflict. It is astonishing that European nations—primarily Germany and the United Kingdom—are not only signaling their willingness to do so but are actually doing everything in their power to prepare their populations for a war with Russia. Young people are being called upon to take up arms in preparation for a war against Russia. In Germany, such efforts have failed miserably; out of 300,000 young Germans surveyed, only 0.2% volunteered to serve in the Bundeswehr. Furthermore, it was revealed just days ago that the Bundeswehr itself could not find even 5,000 volunteers for a battalion to be stationed in Latvia.

It is baffling what these European countries are doing, beyond merely spreading propaganda. Even if combined, the European nations do not possess the military forces that would give them even the slightest chance of standing up to the Russian armed forces. The Russians are entirely unimpressed by this European effort. We assume that this war propaganda in Europe serves only to perpetuate the anti-Russian narrative—a narrative, however, that falls on deaf ears among the public.

Putin has repeatedly emphasized that Russia has no interest in attacking NATO targets outside Ukraine. However, if European countries are foolish enough to send even small military contingents to Ukraine, the situation could change abruptly. The greatest risk of escalation at this moment is that Europeans—possibly in collaboration with the Americans—might be planning a “false flag” attack in Europe to somehow trigger Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty. Preparations for such false flag attacks appear to be well underway, although attempts to date have met with farcical outcomes (e.g., the Leipzig airport incident).

Developments on the Ukrainian war front are bringing about political realignments in Europe

Germany—once the world’s leading exporter and the EU’s greatest power—is the first country at risk of becoming politically ungovernable. The Alternative for Germany (AfD)—labeled far-right and “Hitler-esque” by the formerly dominant parties and barred from government participation by a so-called “firewall”—has not only achieved landslide victories in two regional elections in East Germany but is also leading the Christian Democrats (CDU) by a wide margin in national polls (30% versus 20%).

Chancellor Merz’s approval rating stands at 10%—a barometer of public discontent that would prompt any truly democratic Chancellor to resign. It remains uncertain whether, given this political climate, the German people will simply grit their teeth and do nothing, as they have done in the past.

Merz’s downfall would be a positive outcome for Germany. The AfD is the only major party seeking dialogue and peace with Russia—something this once-thriving industrial nation not only desperately needs but also requires as a prerequisite for economic survival. The alternative to genuine and fundamental political change in Germany is the war against Russia sought by Chancellor Merz and the ruling political elites. The last time Germany went to war against Russia, in 1941, Adolf Hitler sent 3.7 million soldiers to the East—and failed.

As previously explained, the Federal Republic of Germany is currently unable to assemble a brigade of 5,000 volunteer soldiers for the Baltic states. This does not seem to trouble the Chancellor—a clear sign of his lack of credibility and the madness that has gripped him. It is also strong evidence that he is acting in the interests of a power outside Germany. This is evidently linked to his past at BlackRock. Those who succeeded in installing him as Chancellor can congratulate themselves; he is faithfully carrying out their plans.

The situation in the rest of Europe is no different. Presidential elections in France are scheduled for April 2027. Macron is no longer eligible to run, and Marine Le Pen holds a significant lead over the other candidates. The situation is therefore similar to that in Germany: a party denounced as far-right by the parties currently in power, yet the most popular among the public.

Le Pen’s stance on peace with Russia is ambiguous; on one hand, she seeks a negotiated peace, while simultaneously supporting the training of Ukrainian troops. The explanation: an experienced politician positioning herself to garner as many votes as possible. France’s economic situation is bleak; the rise in the yield on 10-year French bonds over the past twelve months has been the sharpest of any European country.

The Global South

These distinct political shifts within the EU’s two major powers are leading to what can be described as entropy—a term borrowed from thermodynamics. When applied to geopolitics, it characterizes the situation as a massive, irreversible state of disorder and uncertainty within the European system. Existing power structures, rules, institutions, and hierarchies are losing their cohesive force, and no new global order promising stability is in sight; meanwhile, the collective West—which until recently firmly held the reins—is reluctant to compromise, fearing it might jeopardize its position of hegemony.

The Global South—a geopolitical term encompassing the planet’s developing or less developed nations as well as powerful economies like China, India, and Brazil—has been caught off guard by the rapid pace of events and has yet to devise a coherent, unified, and effective policy to wrest power from the West. It appears that the Global South—under the military dominance of Russia, China, and, more recently, Iran as a fourth major military power—is in the process of adapting to new conditions and coordinating its efforts, which will ultimately lead to its victory.

The scope of developments in Ukraine and the speed at which the current crisis is unfolding are astonishing, even though the events—and the resulting…

[825,3
25,58,1156,70,3395,3340
post-30537","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-europe-geopolitical","category-geopolitical","tag-eu","tag-russia","tag-ukraine","tag-usa","tag-war-in-ukraine","tag-3340
["GET
