On the website&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charlesdickensinfo.com\">www.charlesdickensinfo.com,<\/a>&nbsp; Marsha Perry, publishes a short personal text in which she presents some elements of the personality of the prolific author, who has always remained committed to his goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WASHINGTON (USA)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Dirck Hals (1591-1656)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-34.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2623\" width=\"580\" height=\"367\"\/><figcaption><strong>Merry Company on a Terrace<\/strong><br>Artist: Dirck Hals (1591-1656), National Gallery of Arts, Washington, <br>Photo by the website www.nga.gov <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>National Gallery of Arts in Washington<\/strong> announced recently that has acquired its first painting by Dirck Hals (1591\u20131656), the younger brother of Frans Hals (c. 1582\/1583\u20131666), who was one of the most innovative and prolific artists active in Haarlem in the early decades of the 17th century. Dirck probably trained with his brother and with the Rotterdam genre painter Willem Buytewech (1591\/1592\u20131624). Buytewech was one of a handful of artists who specialized in small-scale merry companies\u2014scenes of young men and women enjoying themselves either indoors or in the open air. Dirck Hals\u2019s work, now owned by the Washington Art Gallery, is influenced by his teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BASILE<\/strong><strong> (<\/strong><strong>SWITZERLAND<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Eduard Hoper (1882-1967)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-36.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2625\" width=\"583\" height=\"348\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Edward Hopper&#8217;s (1812-1967) painting was gradually identified with the twentieth century, the loneliness of the big city, the existential weight of the landscape. His work is easy and understandable at a first level but, above all, able to speak at a great average, Hopper&#8217;s overall work brings the greatness of art to every home.
