Israel struck Iran to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons. This is the central narrative of the Israelis in relation to the war disaster they have started, once again. But since when did Israel become the nuclear sheriff of the wider region? Who gave it this right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officially, the world list of countries with nuclear weapons includes nine countries: Russia, China, the United Kingdom, France, India, Pakistan, North Korea and of course the United States, which is the only country that has committed the crime of using atomic bombs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Federation of American Scientists, there are approximately 3,904 active nuclear warheads and 12,331 total nuclear warheads in the world in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) estimated in 2024 that the total number of nuclear warheads acquired by nuclear states reached 12,121. Approximately 9,585 are held in military stockpiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately 3,904 nuclear warheads have been deployed with operational forces. 2,100 warheads, which come mainly from Russia and the United States, are held for high operational alert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel does not officially possess nuclear weapons, which essentially means that it possesses them illegally! It is not controlled, does not participate in arms reduction treaties, etc. It has also refused to sign the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 1967, the US Ambassador to Israel, Walworth \u201cWally\u201d Barbour, sent a confidential and urgent telegram to then-Secretary of State Dean Rusk informing him of the very likely existence of nuclear weapons in Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel has had an operational nuclear weapons capability since 1967, while mass production of nuclear warheads began immediately after the Six-Day War. Experts estimate that the stockpile of Israeli nuclear weapons ranges from 60 to 400 (hundreds more than North Korea).<\/p>\n\n\n

It is alleged that France supported Israel’s nuclear program, however, it is confirmed that the Argentine government sold Israel yellowcake (uranium oxide). Between 1963 and 1966, approximately 90 tons of yellowcake were secretly shipped from Argentina to Israel. By 1965, the Israeli reprocessing plant was complete and ready to convert the reactor’s fuel rods into weapons-grade plutonium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was Mordechai Vanunu’s leak to the Sunday Times in 1986 that provided the documents and evidence that provided the major and comprehensive revelation of the extent of Israel’s nuclear weapons program, in the Dimona area.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mordechai Vanunu, or John Crossman (according to the innocent habit of the elect in at least two names), is an Israeli former nuclear technician and peace activist who, citing his opposition to weapons of mass destruction, revealed details of Israel’s nuclear weapons program to the British press in 1986. He was then lured to Italy by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, where he was drugged and kidnapped. He was secretly transferred to Israel and eventually convicted in a closed-door trial. Vanunu spent 18 years in prison, more than 11 of which in solitary confinement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Israel has officially acknowledged the existence of the reactor near Dimona since Ben-Gurion’s speech to the Knesset in December 1960, Israel has never officially acknowledged the construction or possession of nuclear weapons. (Like Iran\u2026)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 18, 1966, Prime Minister Levi Eshkol told the Knesset that \u201cIsrael does not have atomic weapons and will not be the first to introduce them into our region,\u201d a policy first articulated by Shimon Peres to US President John F. Kennedy in April 1963. John F. Kennedy had supported a ban on nuclear weapons testing since 1956. He believed that a ban would prevent other countries from acquiring nuclear weapons, and he took a strong position on this issue in the 1960 presidential campaign. He was completely opposed to Israel\u2019s intention to acquire nuclear weapons and had stated that he would not allow it\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November 1968, Israeli Ambassador to the US Yitzhak Rabin informed the US State Department that the understanding of \u201cimporting\u201d nuclear weapons meant testing, developing or publicizing them, while the mere possession of the weapons did not constitute \u201cimporting\u201d them. Avner Cohen defines this initial stance as \u201cnuclear ambiguity\u201d, but defines the stage after 1969 when it became clear that Israel possessed nuclear weapons as a policy of amimut (\u2018\u2019the point of no return\u2019\u2019 i.e. as a last resort).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in the Yom Kippur War of 1973, when Arab forces outnumbered Israeli forces, Prime Minister Golda Meir approved a nuclear alert and ordered 13 atomic bombs to be prepared for use by missiles and aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n

In 1998, former Prime Minister Shimon Peres stated that Israel \u201cbuilt a nuclear option, not to have a Hiroshima, but an Oslo.\u201d Peres, in his capacity as Director General of the Defense Ministry in the early 1950s, was responsible for building Israel\u2019s nuclear capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a December 2006 interview, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that Iran aspires \u201cto acquire a nuclear weapon like America, France, Israel and Russia.\u201d Olmert\u2019s office later stated that \u201cthe quote was fragmentary.\u201d Elsewhere in the interview, Olmert refused to confirm or deny Israel\u2019s nuclear weapons status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 5, 2023, in the midst of the war in Gaza, Minister of Cultural Heritage Amihai Eliyahu stated that the use of nuclear weapons during the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip could be \u201cone of the possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you understand, the international community and the international nuclear community has known for almost 55 years that Israel illegally possesses nuclear weapons. No one has been more concerned about this. And of course at the time when it set up its nuclear weapons program in Iran, it was ruled by BP\u2019s Western puppet, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.<\/p>\n\n\n

And today, Israel, in a grand display of hypocrisy and deceit, is starting a war that it knows full well it cannot win without Western support and is risking a war domino that will engulf the entire wider region, simply because it benefits the US! It is nothing more than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel, in our view, is the US military base in the Middle East. It is not Israel that controls the US, as we generally think, but the US that uses an entire state as a sheriff. Hence the annual exorbitant amounts of support, hence the maintenance of the tale of Israel’s victimization, to justify to the people the billions they send. This was the price for allowing the establishment of Israel after World War II. And of course, the Israelis were and are willing to promote the interests of the great victor of World War II. This is also how it is explained why since the founding of Israel, the Middle East has experienced no peace except for some periods between wars\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the US empire seems to be collapsing. Their coffers are emptying at breakneck speed. They failed in Ukraine. They were shamefully expelled from Afghanistan. The ISIS they set up (and which, strangely enough, never attacked Israel) has been essentially annihilated. The only terror they now have in the Middle East is Israel, and now they are making a move to bring its strongest rival in the wider region, Iran, to its knees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is certain and historically proven that a beast in its last moments is particularly dangerous. But let our friends in the US be careful because no matter how much pain a beast in its last moments has caused, it has never escaped its fate\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
