The founders of Israel and today\u2019s Israelis see Israel through a \u201cbiblical lens.\u201d Christians are also accustomed to seeing Israel through a \u201cbiblical lens.\u201d They created Israel through this lens. Only recently have they begun to distrust this biblical lens. Somewhat embarrassed, Christians now prefer to forget that they gave Palestine to the Jews because of the Bible and no longer want to see Israel through the biblical lens. As a result, they only see the surface of Israel. They can neither understand nor predict what Israel is doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But let\u2019s take things in order and in detail<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The ultimate reason why the Christian world gave Palestine to the Jews is because the Christian world has always idealized biblical Israel. It is because Christians respect the people of biblical Israel as the people created and loved by God that they allowed themselves to be carried away by the Zionist project of reviving Israel. It was certainly the ruling elites who created Israel. However, there was no confrontation between the elites and the Christian people on this issue, considering it an indisputable truth, or at least an accepted perception, that God had created Israel in biblical times. European public opinion, both Catholic and Protestant and Orthodox, was rather positively inclined towards a project that explicitly aimed at reviving this very Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That the modern Jewish state was clearly designed as a clone of biblical Israel is clearly stated in the Founding Declaration of the State of Israel (Eretz Yisrael): \u201cThe Land of Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious, and political identity was formed. Here they first attained statehood, created cultural values \u200b\u200bof national and global significance, and gave the world the eternal Book of Books. After their violent exile from their land, the people maintained their faith throughout their Diaspora and never ceased to pray and hope for their return to it and for the restoration of their political freedom. Driven by this historical and traditional attachment, the Jews have sought in each successive generation to resettle in their ancient homeland.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zionism is also biblical, from head to toe. If the statements of the Zionists themselves are not enough to convince us, then let us look at their actions: They have settled in biblical land, claim the biblical capital Jerusalem, and give biblical names to the lands they have stolen. They have resurrected biblical language, apply the biblical law of inbreeding (mixed marriages are not recognized in Israel), as well as the biblical law of eighth-day circumcision (in Israel almost all Jewish male babies are circumcised). What more is needed to admit what they constantly say: Anything Zionist is biblical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We can also say that deep down every Christian is a Zionist. This is true not only of \u201cChristian Zionists,\u201d who are consciously Zionists, but also of Christians in general, who are Zionists to the extent that they are biblical. Christians, almost without exception, considered the rebirth of Israel as a nation in Palestine legitimate and strongly deplored the Arabs who detested it. Christendom is complicit in the creation of Israel. Christendom is also complicit in Israel\u2019s crimes. Christians believe that ancient Israel had a divine right, or rather a divine duty, to steal land from the Canaanites and massacre entire city populations. Christians helped the Jews recreate Israel, on the assumption that they were the rightful heirs of ancient Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Christians have thus granted Israel the divine right to massacre entire populations. If ancient Israel had a divine right to genocide and if modern Israel is the resurrection of ancient Israel, then modern Israel has a divine right to massacre. Some may protest, but this is the irresistible logic of history set in motion by Christianity. Ever since it sanctified the Jewish Tanakh, the books of the Old Testament, Christianity has been working, consciously or not, to recreate Israel. Christians today tend to forget their collective responsibility for Israel\u2019s genocidal madness, trying to convince themselves that, \u201cthere is nothing biblical about the modern Jewish state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It should be noted that the established Christian understanding cannot understand the Jewish view of the Bible. When Christians say \u201creligion,\u201d they mean \u201csalvation religion,\u201d and by \u201csalvation\u201d they mean \u201cindividual salvation.\u201d But individual salvation is not an issue in the Jewish holy book, the Torah. The only thing that matters to them is the salvation of Israel as a people. Let\u2019s put it more simply: The Jews wrote a book that says God gave Palestine to the Jews, and Christians have taken that book seriously for two thousand years. By choosing Christianity, Western civilization has accepted everything that is written in that book written by the Jews, which says about a jealous God, a chosen people, a promised land, a divine right to genocide, and so on. In doing so, the Christian world has granted the Jews incalculable power. Admittedly, he did not give the Jews unlimited license to steal and kill, since according to Christian doctrine, God became disillusioned with the Jews and decided to unilaterally withdraw from the alliance in order to become part of the Church, that is, the community of people who, by choice or obligation, believe that the Jewish messiah Jesus will save them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although Christians claim that God is one, in reality they worship two Gods, Christ and Yahweh. Of course, the God of the Old Testament plays a secondary role in the Christian consciousness. He remains behind the scenes. However, he plays a number of musical instruments in the orchestra of Christian doctrine. He was the one who inspired Christians to promise Palestine to the Jews in November 1917 with the British Balfour Declaration, which had been preceded by the French Cambon Declaration five months earlier, and which ultimately resulted in the Palestinians being given the land in 1948.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some attribute geopolitical motives to the British: They needed Israel as a bridgehead in the Middle East, to control the Suez Canal. Not so. Since 1916, British foreign policy in the Middle East had favored good relations with the Arab regimes they had established in Arabia, Jordan, and Iraq. The creation of a \u201cJewish home\u201d (as it was initially called) in Palestine, which predictably led to the complete seizure of power by the Jews, deeply upset the Arabs, who clashed strongly with British policy. This is why in May 1939, the British government tried to extricate itself from its commitment to the Zionists with a \u201cWhite Paper\u201d that envisaged the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The White Paper stated the following: \u201cHis Majesty\u2019s Government believe that the drafters of the mandate in which the Balfour Declaration was incorporated could not have intended the transformation of Palestine into a Jewish state against the will of the Arab population of the country. His Majesty’s Government therefore now expressly declare that it is not a part of their policy to make Palestine a Jewish State. They would indeed consider it contrary to their obligations to the Arabs under the Mandate, as well as to the assurances which have been given to the Arab people in the past, that the Arab population of Palestine should be subjected to a Jewish State against their will.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Was the historical bypass of the White Paper necessary to dispel the theory that the British supported, even created, Zionism out of geopolitical calculations? Not at all. The immediate motivation for the Balfour Declaration is that it was given to the Zionists in exchange for dragging the United States into the war. Chaim Weizmann made this clear when he reminded Churchill in 1941 that \u201cit was the Jews who in the last war really helped to tip the scales in America in favor of Great Britain. They are ready to do it, and can do it, again.\u201d In exchange for giving Churchill a Second World War, Weizmann asked for only one thing: a Jewish state in Palestine, which Churchill was more than willing to give him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is a theory that the British supported Zionism for religious reasons, seeing it as a way to hasten the coming of Christ, who was waiting for the Jews to return to Palestine to appear. This theory, favored by anti-Zionist Jewish writers, is not entirely false, but it greatly exaggerates the factor of British “economism,” a tendency more symptomatic than causal. Blaming Economism for Zionism is a way of avoiding the root cause of Christendom’s support for Zionism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Balfour was a Christian, that is enough. Truman was also a Christian, a staunch Baptist, and arguably more Christian than Balfour. He did not particularly expect the return of Christ, but like all fanatical Baptists he had an extraordinary sympathy for biblical people, and this counted in his decision to recognize the state of Israel in 1948 without a second thought. He recognized it eleven minutes after its creation. He was very moved to receive as a token of gratitude an authentic Torah scroll, presented to him by the first president of Israel, who was none other than Chaim Weizmann (who had declared at Versailles in 1919, \u201cThe Bible is our commandment\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In conclusion: Zionism is not only an ideology, it is a biblical ideology. Israel sees itself as biblical Israel redivivus, and has passed as such into the Christian world. The Christian world is complicit in Israel\u2019s crimes by the simple fact of approving, even sanctifying, the crimes of biblical Israel. Israel looks at itself in the Bible as in a mirror and finds itself divinely beautiful, partly because the Christian world tells it that biblical Israel is divinely beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zionists are freaks of the Bible, the Bible drives them crazy. Why? The Bible says that God chose the Jews. That idea alone can drive the Jews crazy, enslave them. A people convinced that God has chosen them to rule the world, that God has given them the land of another people, and that God gives them the right, or rather the duty, to slaughter like \u201chuman animals\u201d the people whose land they have stolen, such a people is insane. It is psychiatric. If God himself were responsible for convincing the Jews that he had chosen them, then God would be guilty of driving them crazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Therefore, the main responsibility of the Christian world today is to stop nurturing the Zionist madness and to tell the Jews: You are not the chosen people. You were never the chosen people. You are not a superior people. You are simply a people who believe that they are chosen and superior, and that is a dangerous madness. Yes, it is true, we believed for two thousand years that God had chosen you. You managed to make us believe this crazy idea. And because we believed it, we unwittingly encouraged you in your madness. But enough. We have come to our senses and will help you, by all means, to come together. Although it is not easy. Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because we will have to deconstruct the biblical narrative. The tool for this is historical criticism. Historical criticism has shown that in the oldest versions of the Bible, Yahweh is conceived as a national God, who in successive stages (under Josiah, after Ezra, after the Asmodeans) came to be assimilated with the God who created the universe, while maintaining his ethnocentric jealousy. We summarize this process as follows: Yahweh is a national God who is so jealous of the other gods that he ends up denying their existence and considers himself the only true God, therefore “the” God. Therefore the Jews cannot merge with the nations and define their fate with them. As Jews they must await a special future, which will be theirs alone as the Jewish nation, that is, as world domination. As Jews they believe only in their own nation. This is the only conviction they are capable of, it is their duty. Therefore, there can be no emancipation of the Jews. A Jew can be emancipated only if he ceases to be a Jew. \u201cJewish emancipation\u201d is an oxymoron, because the alienation of the Jew is his Jewishness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was Nietzsche and his philosophical hammer who gave the most powerful answer to the biblical lie. The “Nietzschean awakening” that dates back to Kant and culminated in Hegel and Schopenhauer called the Jews “a nation of impostors” (Kant, 1798), later calling them “great masters of lies” (Schopenhauer), with Nietzsche writing in Antichrist (1888): “In Christianity all Judaism, a centuries-old Jewish preparatory education and technique of the most serious kind, achieves its absolute dominance as the art of lying in a sacred way. The Christian, this ultimate analogy of lying, is the Jew once more, even thrice a Jew.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n We note on the same wavelength the words of Martin Luther (leader of the 16th century church reform in Germany) from his book \u201cConcerning the Jews and Their Lies\u201d (Von den Juden und ihren L\u00fcgen): \u201cThe sun never shone on a more bloodthirsty and vengeful people than on those who imagine that they are the people of God who are commissioned and ordered to murder and kill the Gentiles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Perhaps now is the time to ask the Jewish question again. Let\u2019s put it this way: The Jews wrote a book that says that God chose the Jews. Should we take it seriously? Should we take this book as the word of God or as the word of the Jews? This book written by Jews claims that God gave them a fertile land inhabited by another people. Should we believe it? This book written by Jews claims that the Jews had a divine right to massacre the Amalekites (an ancient nomadic people of Semitic origin, descendants of Amalek). Should we believe it? If we believe it, or if we declare that we believe it, or if we do not denounce it as a lie, then how can we oppose Netanyahu when he massacres the inhabitants of Gaza while telling the Israelis: \u201cYou must remember what Amalek did to you, says our Holy Bible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let us imagine what would have happened if Western civilization, instead of worshipping biblical Israel, had learned to see it as the archetypal pitiful and passionate nation and the Jewish choice as the most diabolical lie imaginable. If Western civilization had come to its senses before the 20th century, Zionism would not have gone anywhere. The very idea would have sent a shiver of horror through the entire national population of the West and many wars would have been avoided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Associative gloss: Since the time of the \u201cHistorikerstreit\u201d (Historians\u2019 Dispute), the uniqueness of the greatest anti-Semitic excess, namely the \u201cHolocaust\u201d, has been taken for granted. The Holocaust is the ultimate offense, the inexplicable evil. Anyone who wants to explain it is suspected of wanting to reduce the evil of this evil, to relativize it through comparisons or even to justify it. Anyone who wants to explain it makes a deal with evil. Anyone who wants to contribute to its explanation touches a taboo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Has the historical moment come to relativize the Holocaust by comparing it to the crime of ethnic cleansing-genocide that is being committed today in Gaza by the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob with whom God has made a covenant, defining them as the \u201cchosen people\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Has the historical moment come for Christianity, although a reformed Jewish sect, to cease to be the footstool of the \u201cchosen people\u201d?
