This also finances Germany’s contributions to the European Union’s European Peace Facility (EPF). In addition, there are authorizations for commitments in the following years, which amount to around 6 billion euros.

Since the beginning of the Russian offensive, Germany has delivered materials from the Federal Armed Forces’ stocks worth around 5.2 billion euros, based on estimated replacement prices.

It also offers training to Ukrainian forces, with some 10,000 soldiers having already completed such, mainly in Western weapons.

In the air defense sector, Germany has delivered 4 Patriot systems, which consist of fire units and missiles. In addition to the Patriots, several complete IRIS-T systems with their radars have been delivered, including the medium-range IRIS-T SLM and the shorter-range IRIS-T SLS, with missiles constantly arriving to replenish the reserves. The IRIS-Ts have managed to protect Ukrainian cities and infrastructure from cruise missiles while of course they have also shot down a large number of Shahed-136s.

To cover the protection of the front line and Ukrainian tanks, 57 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns have been delivered, accompanied by 35 mm projectiles. Among the others, much more interesting are the 2 advanced Skynex systems that have also been delivered. In the field of portable anti-aircraft systems, Germany has supplied 500 Stinger launchers and 2,700 Strela launchers, to counter low-altitude aerial threats.

In addition to air defense systems, Germany has also reinforced Ukraine with tanks and armored vehicles. 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks have been delivered, accompanied by more than 120,000 rounds of ammunition, and over 100 Leopard 1A5 tanks, along with 105 mm rounds. These have been accompanied by 140 Marder howitzers, with another fifty in the process of being transferred, accompanied by a large stockpile of 20 mm rounds.

Germany also participates in international initiatives, such as the Ringtausch program, through which it has facilitated the delivery of equipment from other countries, replacing their stocks with German equipment. This saw 40 former Greek BMP-1s arrive in Ukraine, but Greece was compensated with 40 German Marder 1A3s.

The main concessions are as follows by
