In his book “The Crisis of the Modern World” (“La crise du monde moderne”, 1927), the great Guenon emphatically points out that the fact that we can speak of a crisis of the modern world (using the word “crisis” as it is commonly accepted) is a fact that many already do not doubt and, in this regard at least, a sufficiently noticeable change has occurred: Under the influence of events, certain illusions are beginning to dissolve and we cannot, for our part, but be satisfied with this, rejoice because here, finally, there is a sufficiently auspicious symptom, the indication that the modern mentality has the ability to revive, something that seems like a faint glow within the contemporary chaos. Consequently, the belief in an unlimited “progress”, which until recently was considered an inviolable and unquestionable dogma, is no longer so generally accepted. Indeed, some foresee, roughly speaking, that Western civilization, instead of always continuing to develop in the same direction, could one day come to a halt or even be completely submerged in a cataclysm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mystic writes, \u201cThe modern world is undergoing a crisis; what is usually meant is that it has reached a critical point, or, in other words, that a transformation of a more or less profound nature is imminent, that a change of orientation must inevitably occur very soon, voluntarily or involuntarily, in a more or less abrupt manner, with or without destruction. However, within the word \u201ccrisis\u201d itself there are other meanings, which make it more suitable for expressing what we want to say. The phase that can be described as truly critical, for any order of things, is the one that immediately results in a favorable or unfavorable solution, the one in which a decision is interposed at one time or another. Then we could judge the conclusions drawn, weigh the pros and cons, attempting a sort of classification of these conclusions into positive and negative, so as to see on which side the scales definitely lean. It seems that we are indeed approaching the end of the world, that is, the end of an era or a historical cycle. We already have many such precedents in the past and undoubtedly there will be others in addition, depending on whether they end periods of greater or lesser extent and concern either the whole of earthly humanity, or only one or another of its parts, a race or a certain people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the last chapter of the book he further discusses the resistance currents of the Golden Age that oppose the dominant destructive and decadent currents of the Dark Age today. He clearly claims that all realities are composed of opposing forces, in balance: \u201cThe modern world would immediately cease to exist if people realized what it really is, since its existence, like that of ignorance and all the limitations it entails, is purely negative: It is extracted and released only through the denial of Truth, traditional and superhuman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Such a profound and extensive truth cannot be understood by the vast majority of people, but this is not necessary, since \u201cit would be enough if there were a few numerically but strongly established elect to guide the masses who would obey their suggestions, without suspecting their existence or having any idea of \u200b\u200bthe means of their action\u2026\u201d Clearly, these elect must act, at least in part, through simulation, as do the initiates of the Counter-Tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guenon discusses how such a group of select traditionalists could function to end the Kali Yuga! First, he emphasizes that there can be no absolute discontinuity between the Kali Yuga and the coming Golden Age, which means that they coexist within the same causal nexus, so that what we do now affects the Golden Age to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A group of select traditionalists with the knowledge and power to end the Kali Yuga, \u201ccould prepare the change so that it takes place under the most favorable possible conditions and the disturbances which must inevitably accompany it be reduced to a minimum\u2026\u201d But even if this were to prove impossible, the traditionalist elites could perform \u201can even more important task, that of helping to preserve the elements that must survive the present world, so that they may be used in the creation of the one that will follow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along the way, Gu\u00e9non drops a bombshell in the form of a question: \u201cIs it still possible for these elites to be effectively established in the West?\u201d, obviously implying that there are no elites in the West. He goes on, however, to explain that such traditionalist elites still exist in the East, protecting the \u201cark\u201d of Tradition. He also speculates that a group of Western elites could be reconstituted, either by finding and reviving a living remnant of the Tradition in the West, something that Guenon considers unlikely, or by Westerners becoming initiates of Eastern teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The latter path was followed, for example, by Savitri Devi, probably under the influence of Guenon: “I embraced Hinduism because it was the only religion in the world that was compatible with National Socialism. And the dream of my life is to integrate Hitlerism into the old Aryan tradition, so as to show that it is really a revival of the original Tradition. It is not Indian, it is not European, but Indo-European. It comes from those days when the Aryans were a people near the North Pole. The Hyperborean tradition.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We do not know exactly whether an elite traditionalist has actually appeared in the West since 1927 (when Guenon published the \u201cCrisis of the Modern World\u201d and so on) but if Guenon is right, we can be sure that the Eastern teachers, like a shadowy organization, are waging the occult war on our behalf, because otherwise the Dark Ages (which are not chaos but a kind of \u201cnegative order\u201d) would have given way to complete chaos itself long ago!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is no extensive, secret conspiracy of the .. \u201cmischievous\u201d far right, despite the stupid chatter and conspiratorialism to the contrary of various Left-wing obsessives and establishment Liberals, throughout the world. It should have been, because then the political and social situation would probably have been better, more balanced. It is certain that some people, positioned in the wider nationalist space, have already thought: “Let’s form our own traditional secret society, in order to wage the occult war against the modern world! What is being suppressed must also be pushed further!” Secret societies are fundamental elements of the political imagination, so it is not surprising that such ideas are repeated very often in nationalist circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, it is estimated that the creation of secret societies of this type would be an unnecessary and untimely distraction in the political struggle of the Nationalists for several reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1.<\/strong> \u0399f Gu\u00e9non is right, such a secret order already exists. Of course, they do not use \u2026 a post office box or pages on social media. You cannot participate in it by sending a subscription check. The people of this secret order must come to you. Therefore, the only thing you can do is to concentrate your effort so that you become worthy of selection by such an elite. If such a society really exists, you may well be asked to participate. And if the masters Evola and Gu\u00e9non guided you, making you worthy of such an elite, in the end that is the most important thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2.<\/strong> \u0397ave heard a lot about many secret societies, which means that \u2026 they did not remain secret. Once the existence of such a group becomes known, it cannot but add further weight to one of the major problems of the Nationalist “subculture”: The inherent lack of trust, including even absolute paranoia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This prevailing climate is masterfully exploited and exacerbated to the utmost by our enemies, but it is not the only cause of the various paranoid behaviors. More generally in post-war Europe it seems that the Nationalists are possessed of an intense innate predisposition to persecutory fantasies of a paranoid type, beyond of course the actual corrosive and persecutory action of the various regime secret services. Of course, ethnocentrism, like most psycho-mental traits, tends to display a “bell curve” type distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is therefore logical that Nationalists will tend to be more ethnocentric than the average citizen, something that most of us can empirically confirm. However, high ethnocentrism seems to be associated, unfortunately, with a lack of trust in fellow nationalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is a simple explanation for this: With our fellow nationalists, low ethnocentrism is the norm, so when a nationalist displays high ethnocentrism, he will likely encounter rejection, contempt, or accusation from other fellow nationalists, which will tend to alienate him from the people. (High ethnocentrism is typical of Israelis. Thus, when an Israeli acts ethnocentrically, his fellow Israelis are likely to approve, which strengthens both his ethnocentrism and his sense of belonging to the Israeli community.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n But the ability to show trust in strangers (which involves a willingness to take a certain amount of risk) is one of the prerequisites for the emergence and formation of complex social institutions on a large scale. Otherwise, one would be able to cooperate only with a small number of people he knows. Since our fellow Israelis with high ethnocentrism tend to distrust our fellow Israelis, this makes them only slightly capable of forming effective organizations and movements. The enemy obviously understands this, so he does everything he can to multiply the disagreements and paranoid behaviors of the nationalist space. So the discussion of secret societies simply adds suspicion and resentment to an already poisoned atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.<\/strong> It is therefore logical that Nationalists will tend to be more ethnocentric than the average citizen, something that most of us can empirically confirm. So the discussion of secret societies simply adds suspicion and resentment to an already poisoned atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4.<\/strong> Although people can usually achieve much more by working together than by going it alone, a higher than average number of Nationalists in the nationalist field, especially the most original thinkers and committed fighters, are not men of organization but people who achieve more by acting alone or in informal non-hierarchical networks, rather than in structured hierarchical organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These people are naturally inclined to resist anti-comradely selfishness, party “cliques,” personal bias, and secret agreements, that is, all those side effects that concern hierarchical groups, even those that are truly committed to higher goals. Structured organizations by their nature generate interpersonal dramas that individualistic human types despise. Sometimes the quickest way to destroy cooperation among a group of Nationalists is to propose that they agree on something as simple as a name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Since it is necessary to mobilize every available talent of our people, we must give all of them (from the most assertive to the mildest human types) the freedom they need to work and create for the benefit of the nationalist cause.
