Art is a huge mosaic spanning from prehistory to the present day. It accompanies man from the beginning of his existence because it is that creative expression that in the art-work captures the mental state, emotions, ideas and visualization of the artist and will always be important in human life because of the magnetism it causes to human emotions by stimulating them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The classic shipwreck of Peristera, of the island of Alonissos in Northern Greece with its 4000-amphora wine, is the oldest shipwreck in the world (late 5th<\/sup> century B.C.) Now this spectacular find is to become accessible to the public in Greece, including to recreational divers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visitor can visit nine total Underwater Museums in Northern Sporades, in combination with the respective Information Centers operating on land that offer an equally unique experience of virtual diving to those who do not want or cannot dive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Peristera shipwreck, named for the uninhabited Greek island opposite Alonissos where it was discovered in the early 1990s. The Northern Sporades are an Archipelago along the east coast of Greece and consists of 24 islands four of which are permanently inhabited: Alonissos, Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
