Essentially in this list some experts unofficially rank countries according to their “diplomatic power and global influence”.

The past 12 months have seen China’s influence in Africa, East Asia and the Pacific region skyrocket. The United States dominates the Americas, Europe and South Asia regions. However, at number 1 is China after it was considered by experts to have exerted more global influence through diplomacy than any other country this year. In 2nd place is the USA.

Among the middle powers, the briefing notes that Turkey and India have multiplied their diplomatic efforts around the world. Turkey is actually better placed than India as it came in at number 3 on the list, ahead of Japan and France. In the last 12 months it is said to have increased its influence mainly in the Middle East and Africa.

India is ranked 11th globally, but this is an improvement since a few years ago they were much lower on the list. India is successfully trying to expand its influence in Africa, Asia and Europe.

In the Asian continent, the leading country is Japan, which is in 4th place worldwide. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia is this year’s winner.

As for Russia, the Global Diplomacy Index experts report that the war in Ukraine has cost it a lot. It had a much higher position, however for 2024 experts placed it at number 6.

For the end we kept the Old Continent, in which the strongest diplomatic power – always according to the list – is France, which is number 5 worldwide. This is followed by Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy in positions 7, 8 and 9 respectively. Greece is at number 22 worldwide.

Diplomacy is perhaps the most critical factor in a state’s global influence, which is why there is a ranking list of all countries in…

[818,390
2417,5563,5562,2523,973
post-19011","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-europe","category-politics","tag-diplomacy","tag-embassies","tag-influence","tag-international-relations","tag-politics
["GET
