Milestones in Artificial Intelligence Regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With this political agreement, the European Union is on its way to becoming the first major superpower to enact laws related to artificial intelligence. The agreement between EU countries and members of the European Parliament came after almost 15 hours of negotiations. The previous day there was a debate lasting about 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The two sides are expected to iron out the details of the deal in the coming days, meaning the final legislation is not yet complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The agreement reached by the countries and the parliament stipulates that general purpose artificial intelligence (GPAI) systems, such as the well-known ChatGPT, will have to comply with certain regulations before being put on the market.
