The end of the Cold War (1991), with the collapse of the Soviet Union\n(USSR) at the time, constituted a global evolution by changing the course of\nhistory indicating for the first time since the end of the Second World War\nthat the absolute but yet unique system of values and institutions on the\nplanet are liberal democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This finding is not done in an arbitrary way but is based on two important\nelements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this day and age many critics and unwelcomed analysts continually\npresent repeating that liberalism, as the only functional ideological-political\nsystem and the winner of the Cold War, has reached its limits and it is only a\nmatter of time before It delivers its place to the rising authoritarian-style\ncapitalist system of governance which is mainly expressed by China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The arguments of their positions are based on the continuous explosive\nimage and at the same time a disturbance in the Middle East region, in the\nscattered presence of jihadists-islamists not only in this region but in less\nextent in the other countries of the West, the continued rise and the\nestablishment of nationalist-authoritarian and populist governments in Eastern\nEurope, Russia and South America and, of course, the rise of China as a model\nof authoritarian capitalist type governance and in the climate change given\nthat these analysts try to load indirectly the causes of the climate change in\nthe functionality of the liberal democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time all these potential “gravediers”-analysts of liberalism are unaware that all this type of nationalist, authoritarian and populist regimes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1.<\/strong> They cannot influence other countries or be exported to other countries than they exist as “hosts” in the societies of the countries that appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2.<\/strong> They shrink at a constant rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.<\/strong> They use fake news by presenting a pseudo-type of democratic terminology and rhetoric, respectively, anticipating that with these methods, they will eventually gain the anticipated legitimacy of these regimes in the minds and consciousnesses of their peoples while persuading foreign countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This false-type democratic rhetoric boils down to the continued use of the\nterm freedom, through the freedoms they claim to offer, presenting as the\ncrowning of these freedoms the \u201cdemocratic\u201d elections they organise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the same time, the incredibly rapid development of a vast middle-class\npopulation throughout the Asian continent, enables all these Asian societies to\nunderstand that through the freedom and privileges it offers, they are driven\nthe individual advancement through economic success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This single finding is the greatest lesson in the liberal values that has\never been applied on a global scale, ignoring the potential that exists in\nthese societies of any type of authoritarian state and party corresponding\nintervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the other hand, this finding alone has strengthened liberal capitalism\nas the only system of work and production that has practical results in human\nsocieties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The fact that even today the poor economic populations of Asia, Middle\nEast, Africa and South America choose to emigrate to the countries of the\nWest-the crowns of liberal democracy-and not to the countries that they are\ncharacterized by authoritarian-capitalist-type governance systems as the\ngreatest proof of the size and influence of the system of liberal values at\nglobal level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In terms of liberal ideology, it is obvious that in today’s time it does\nnot have an ideological rival since the growing economic power but at the same\ntime authoritarian-capitalist-type governance of China has made China fully\nincapable of articulating a different and rival doctrine towards liberal\nideology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n China’s attempt to present as an adversary to the liberal ideology an\nideological doctrine of its own with a form of modernised Confucius failed miserably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The conclusion is that the liberal system of values and institutions,\nrespectively, is a one-way street for the whole and the progress of mankind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The end of the Cold War (1991), with the collapse of the Soviet Union (USSR) at the time, constituted a global evolution by changing…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[990,991],"tags":[161,1262,1261,1259,1260],"class_list":["post-1566","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-columns","category-feuilleton","tag-china","tag-islamists","tag-liberal-doctrine","tag-liberalism","tag-the-enduring-resilience-of-liberalism"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1566","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=1566"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1566\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1567,"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/1566\/revisions\/1567"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=1566"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=1566"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.liberalglobe.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=1566"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
