Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today criticized the upper limit of the price of a barrel of Russian oil at $60, after the agreement signed by the countries of the European Union, the G7 and Australia, considering that it was not a “serious decision” as Kyiv suggested a price twice as low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It is not a serious decision to set such a limit for Russian prices, which is quite comfortable for the budget of the terrorist state,” he said in his videotaped speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt’s only a matter of time before more powerful tools are used anyway. It is a shame that this time will be lost”, he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The price of a barrel of Russian oil (Ural crude) is currently hovering around $65, just above the European ceiling, suggesting a limited impact in the near term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Andriy Yermak, head of the presidential office, said earlier that the ceiling should be set at $30 “to destroy the enemy’s economy faster.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
