Russian forces are still on the defensive along almost all front lines, but they continue to storm Ukrainian strongholds in the Donbass region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information from Russia states that Russian troops will withdraw from the entire western bank of the Dnieper River. The information became known on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the withdrawal of troops from the territories on the west bank of the large river that runs through Ukraine. It is estimated that around 40,000 troops will have to be moved, many of them in units that have suffered heavy casualties in manpower and materiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fierce fighting continues in the Uglendar region, where Russian assault groups are trying to dislodge Ukrainian units from Pavlovka in order to take control of the strategically important axis. After days of fighting, the battle for the village turned into positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the north, fighting continues in Novomykhailovka, where Russian troops are trying to advance and cut the supply road between Uglendar and Mariinka. In the last day, there were no reports of Russian attempts to invade Ukrainian positions. The Russians began to dig in and strengthen the defense line in the eastern part of the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russian military recently claimed control of the Donetsk airport territory. All airport facilities were captured by LR forces in 2015, but the Russians eventually pushed Ukrainian units off the runways in the western suburbs. Fighting continues north of the Donetsk ring road near the villages of Opitne and Vodiane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the south of Bakhmut, the Wagner fighters advanced towards Andreevka to take control of the railway. In the north, they attacked Yakolevka and cut off the military supplies of Ukrainian units along the northern road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation remains tense in the Kherson region. Despite the evacuation of civilians and claims by Russian military commanders of a possible retreat. The Russian military continues to strengthen defenses and mine the area. The large-scale Ukrainian offensive has yet to come.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Russian army is reportedly pulling out of Kherson, with Defense Minister Shoigu reportedly ordering the withdrawal of troops across the Dnieper River. Commander-in-Chief Surovikin reported that the formations would soon occupy defensive lines on the left bank of the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kherson is one of the main points of fierce clashes between the Ukrainian army and the Russians. In fact, Kherson, one of the four regions that Vladimir Putin announced he has annexed to the Russian Federation, is considered a key region for controlling the Crimean peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, it had become clear that the Russians are gradually withdrawing from the region, at least from the one that lies east of the Dnieper river, the Ukrainians, however, were wary, considering that it is possible that this strong rumor was a “trap” for the Russians. But in the last few hours it seems that the Russians are blowing up bridges either on tributaries of the Dnieper or on the river itself, which signals their departure from the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Russian military Telegram channels, the bridges are being blown up in Kherson to prevent a faster counterattack by the Ukrainian army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pace of the Russian advance on the Donbas front line is very slow. Continued offensive operations are still of tactical importance.
